All of us struggle with some form of sexual brokenness, whether through our thoughts, actions, or the effect of others actions toward us. We believe that God made us inherently sexual beings and thus a core component of Christian discipleship must include hope, healing and freedom in our sexuality.
Cornerstone Community Church is proud to partner with Pure Desire Ministries International (PDMI), who have been leading the way for over 20 years to help men and women find hope, freedom, and healing from sexual brokenness through Jesus Christ. They develop the materials, we lead the groups. Pure Desire groups support men, women and teens by providing a safe, confidential place to process their life story: learning how family of origin, traumatic experiences, and wounding messages impact relationships.

Family Ministries:
Tools/Books for Families – The following Tools/Books can be purchased from the PDMI website.

FATHERS & SONS – Father-Son Accountability: a guide for fathers who want to connect with their sons and help avoid the trap of pornography addiction. Like never before, easy access to pornography is pushing our younger generations into a pornified world. The spiritual and mental danger this presents to our children cannot be ignored by fathers. Unfortunately, we often don’t know how to respond to this growing threat. There is good news, John and Lucas Fort’s book, Father-Son Accountability, is an eight week study that walks a father and son through the challenges and issues that many children face. Some of the topics to be addressed include: – How do we build a real and safe relationship with our sons? – What questions should we should ask our sons? – How much or our own story should we share? – What can a father realistically expect from a son? John Fort is a pornography recovery specialist who faced these questions when his own son neared the end of his grade school years. John and his son Lucas wrote this book to help fathers and sons to build a high level of vulnerability and openness as they find alternatives to porn and unwanted sexual behaviors. This is a book for fathers and sons, written by a father and son.

MOMS & DAUGHTERS – Girl Talk: This 8-week guide was created to help moms and daughters move beyond one-and-done conversations and build a lasting culture of connection. Each week includes Girl Talk prompts—simple, guided questions and tools to spark honest conversations, connection, and reflection. What You’ll Need To get the most out of this experience, we recommend purchasing a copy of the book for both you and your daughter(s). This gives each of you space to: – Reflect individually – Jot down thoughts or doodle in the margins – Highlight key takeaways – Dog-ear pages for future chats – Mentally prepare to share Make it a Weekly Rhythm, Set aside 20–30 minutes a week for your time together. Make it something to look forward to!

PARENTS – How to Talk with Your Kids About Sex: Most parents dread “the conversation.” They don’t know how or when to talk to their kids about S-E-X. However, the mismanagement of sexuality is so prevalent in our world that understanding what is good and healthy about sex is a great place to start—not just for our kids, but for us too. In How To Talk With Your Kids About Sex, Rodney and Traci Wright help parents navigate what it looks like to have an ongoing conversation with their kids, based on 10 foundational principles. In many ways, this book is a template for continuous education, communication, and growth in the area of healthy sexuality. As parents, we have the opportunity to provide for our children a healthier pathway forward than many of us were given. If understood and managed correctly, our sexuality can be the source of some of life’s greatest joys and blessings—Heaven on earth!
